God damn it, Looks like the Volvo dealer might have done that. Probably an out of state car or something, and needed a front plate holder and they were too lazy to buy an OEM one and drill in the right place I'm guessing.

Yup - it was a PA Car. They might as well not put it on at all!

Anything is better than drilling two holes in what is obviously the wrong place. It amazes me how little effort was put into that, and that they didn't make a run to the Acura dealer to go pick one up for the car. If I were a potential buyer, I'd have them factor the price of filling those drill holes and repainting the bumper.

Honestly, that wouldve just turned me off on buying the car. They would need to actually fix the bumper amd get the oem bracket if they wanted me to buy it

Or not buy this at all - not much better than an Accord, and looks worse. Acura used to be the step-up brand for Honda owners - now it's the lease option if you can't get the BMW.

The most amusing thing is it's covering the parking sensor so now they're completely useless.

Not that I would at all, but I wouldn't buy it just for that reason. It's like broccoli in teeth.

it still astonishes me that a real car company actually thought that beak looks good.

You see this quite a bit in New York with people that are too cheap to just buy license plate brackets. Most cars aren't as egregiously bad as that Acura, but screwing the plate directly to the bumper always looks terrible.

Perfect for Maryland - off center to the left. (Former resident; NEVER AGAIN!)
